OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2012. Post Modern Technology (PMT), a part of ARMADA Group (MICEX-RTS: ARMD), hereby announces the completion of the core stage of the project to automate the Endocrinology Scientific Center (ESC) of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of Russia. ESC was equipped with over 200 workplaces of the MEDIALOG medical information system.

The project consisted of automating the main administrative and management workflow processes in the ESC, such as the key services included in a unified registry and partner relations. A series of diagnostics units were connected to the system, and the key laboratory-side processes were automated. In addition, electronic patient cards were redesigned, while inventory accounting and resource management, as well as intra-institution patient rotation system were automated. A statistics module was also implemented, serving as a basis for management and financial reporting modules.

The following and final stage of MEDIALOG deployment will be the integration of ESC’s medical information system with the state services portal, which will give patients the option to make appointments and schedule them online, and also feature the medical institution’s passport.

The Endocrinology Scientific Center is a federal state-funded institution, a unique diagnostic, treatment, research, and education endocrinology complex and the segment’s leader in Russia and CIS. ESC’s laboratories and departments employ endocrinologists, surgeons, gynecologists, pediatricians, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, gastroenterologists, andrologists, radiologists, immunologists, biochemists, and morphologists, including four members and two corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, 44 doctors of science and 128 PhDs. Citizens of any country can apply to ESC for highly-qualified medical treatment regardless of their domicile and residence.
