In June 2012, the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) issued a resolution on the CIS Award for quality achievements in 2011. IBA was named a winner in the category Services.

The contest is aimed at raising the competitive edge of the CIS products and services, improving their export potential, and enhancing reputation of the CIS producers.

Since 2006, more than 80 companies from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, and Ukraine have participated in the CIS Quality Award contest.

This time, the CIS Quality Award ceremony featured six prize winners, twelve diploma winners, and seven organizations awarded with the special prize Recognition of Business Excellence. Of the six prize winners, three are Belarusian companies, namely IBA, Belarusian Steel Works, and Yubileiny Hotel.

Congratulating the winners of the contest, Sergei Lebedev, the Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), said: “A recognized priority of cooperation between the CIS countries is an economic cooperation that meets national interests, is beneficial for each state, and promotes all-round development of member countries.”

Sergei Levteev, IBA CEO, comments: “Named the CIS Award Prize Winner in the category Services, IBA is again recognized for the company’s achievements in quality assurance. IBA is a four-time winner of the Belarusian Government Award in Quality Management. The next IBA’s victory confirms that our company has a high level of maturity of corporate and technological culture and guarantees that we produce competitive products and provide top-flight services. That is the reason why IBA is a leader at the Belarusian IT market and has deservedly become a significant IT player throughout the CIS countries.”
