OREANDA-NEWS.August 29, 2012. The five-member Board of Estonian Air will be reduced by one member, as Signe Vaks-Saareoja, the Chief People Officer will move to Swedbank, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.

“In order to improve the effectiveness of the company, we have been carried out a number of important changes in the structure of Estonian Air, results of which we are expecting to see already at the end of the current year. The changes and the re-align touched all levels of the organization,” noted Signe Vaks-Saareoja.

“After three years in Estonian Air, I will move back to banking sector, which is already familiar to me. The responsibility area in the new company is not related to personnel management, and it offers an exciting challenge to me,” added Vaks-Saareoja.

Estonian Air is not planning to recruit new board member in the nearest future. The current members of Estonian Air’s Board Members are Tero Taskila, the Chairman of the Board, Wade Stokes, the Chief Financial Officer, Jyri Ketola, the Chief Operating Officer and Rauno Parras, the Chief Commercial Officer.

Estonian Air reduced its administration staff by 15% in August, which concerned all departments and management levels in the head office, including specialists and managers.
