OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2012. Ukrainian delegation led by vice Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov studying the Finnish experience to build affordable housing.

Borys Kolesnikov and leadership of Kyiv, Donetsk, Odesa, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv Regional State Administrations on August 28 visited the construction site "Mallet" (Pasila a suburb in Helsinki), which is ready for sale. They visited the houses built from components made by leading technology of companies engaged in the construction of affordable housing in Finland.

According to vice Prime Minister and standards for affordable housing in Ukraine soon will be determined. "We are closing to the adoption of a single standard version, which would make housing affordable for every Ukrainian family" - Borys Kolesnikov said.

In particular, the first houses of economy class in Ukraine will be built on the Finland’s experience.

"We could learn a lot from the Finns - Borys Kolesnikov said. - There are a lot of interesting decisions: how windows and balconies are made. I think that the first project we should order in Finland. We also involve their architects that will teach our youth who receive education in architecture high schools".
