OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2012. As the Defence Ministry states, at the next auction the price can be halved. At present 6 jets MiG-29 are being sold for USD8.5 mln.

The prices for 2 jets AN-72 are 950 and 600 thou leis. The date of the next auction is to be fixed in September at a sitting of the Commission on Sale of Military Hardware, which includes representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Airport of Marculesti.

As it was said earlier, the auction held on August, 2012 to sell the jets failed due to the same reason. For the first time they were put for sale in 2010. They were made in 1988 and transferred to the command of the National Army in 1991.

MiGs have been grounded for 15 years.
