OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2012. Dobri Liky, a low-cost pharmacy chain, has launched a pharmacy in Donetsk that prepares prescription medicines for people and medical institutions.

Health of the nation is the most sensitive indicator of a society. We have always been committed to maintaining and improving health of people.

To meet this objective, Donetsk Oblast State Administration, the National Service for Medicines in Donetsk Oblast, Donetsk National Medical University and chief executives of local pharmacies signed a memorandum of understanding on 1 March 2012 to supply people with quality medicines at reasonable prices.

Dobri Liky chain operating as part of Ukrainian Pharmacy Holding has been the first to meet the memorandum as it opened the first in Donetsk high tech lab making prescription medicines at Pharmacy No. 122.

The initiative required overhauling the building, buying the latest equipment in line with all production and quality control standards and engaging skilled professionals with a solid record in the field.

Valentina Starovoytova, director for pharmaceutical procedures and quality at Ukrainian Pharmacy Holding, said: "Our pharmacy is the only in Donetsk today with the entire set of equipment to prepare medicines according to individual medical prescriptions for people and hospitals."

Ukrainian Pharmacy Holding CEO Yuriy Zolotaryov said: "Resuming production of medicines at pharmacies of Donetsk Oblast is a highly important initiative for the health of people meant to make medicines more affordable for local citizens."

The range of pharmaceuticals will be wider now, while the prices will drop significantly.
