August 31, 2012.  Mitsui & Co., Ltd., ("Mitsui"; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masami Iijima) and SB Energy Corp., ("SB Energy", Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Chairman and CEO: Masayoshi Son), a company in the Softbank Group engaged in the natural energy business, etc., have established the "Softbank Tottori-Yonago Solar Park", a mega solar power plant in the Sakitsu District of Yonago City in Tottori Prefecture, to engage in a joint power generating business. Mitsui and SB Energy have concluded an agreement pertaining to the establishment and operation of a mega solar power plant with Tottori Prefecture, Yonago City of Tottori Prefecture, as well as Tottori Prefecture Housing Supply Public Corporation. The construction of the power plant is scheduled to start sometime in September 2012, with operations aimed to start in July 2013.

The "Softbank Tottori-Yonago Solar Park" will be a mega solar power plant established on a site with an area of about 534,000 square meters (approximately 53.4 hectare) within the Sakitsu District of Yonago City in Tottori Prefecture, delivering a maximum output of 39,500kW (approximately 39.5MW) and an estimated annual power generation of about 39,500,000kWh (on a scale equivalent to the amount of electric power consumed by about 11,000 general households a year). The "Tottori Yonago Solar Park Corp." the business operator of this power plant, will conclude a land lease agreement for the planned site in order to construct the power plant in the future with Tottori Prefecture, Yogano City of Tottori Prefecture, as well as the Tottori Prefecture Housing Supply Public Corporation respectively.

Mitsui and SB Energy, respectively, will promote the construction and operation of natural energy power plants spearheaded by the mega solar power plant, with the aim of popularizing and expanding natural energy in the future.
