OREANDA-NEWS.  September 04, 2012. Ukio bankas has introduced a self-service option to its clients in Klaipeda – a c. It is the third ATM making available such service to Ukio bankas clients in Lithuania: cash accepting ATMs of the joint network are currently operative in Vilnius-, Kaunas- and Klaipeda-based shopping centres Akropolis, reported the press-centre of Ukio Bankas.

“From now on this convenient and time-saving self-service option will be available to our clients in all the three major cities of the country with the largest concentration of population and businesses,” said Ukio bankas Payment Cards Department Director Jurate Kajackiene.

In the words of J. Kajackiene, until recently, cash accepting ATMs operated in Vilnius and Kaunas and therefore clients in these cities already had the chance to evaluate the advantages of this option. “We have noticed that although this service is more frequently and more actively used by businesses it is also relevant for individuals”, Mrs Kajackiene said.

Till now, 55 per cent of cash deposit transactions executed at Kaunas – and Vilnius-based ATMs went to legal persons and the remaining portion – natural persons. The average amount deposited by natural persons reaches to LTL 865, by corporate clients – LTL 5,400. Most cash depositing transactions are carried out using debit payment cards. Thus far this service has been slightly more popular in Kaunas.

The joint network’s automated teller machines for cash withdrawals and cash deposits installed in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda shopping centres Akropolis accept banknotes of all denominations in litas. Confirmation by PIN will be required for each cash deposit transaction, like for cash withdrawal transactions, initiated by the client.

Ukio bankas is Lithuania’s first commercial bank providing reliable services via its own wide client service network with 60 units across the country for the third decade already. Furthermore, Ukio bankas payment cards are accepted at 260 ATMs of the joint network (uniting Ukio bankas, Danske, Citadele, Nordea and Siauliu bankas ATMs) and over 30 offices of the Lithuanian Post.
