OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2012. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Miguel Galuccio, Chief Executive Officer of Argentina's national petroleum company YPF.

The parties discussed the possibility of arranging liquefied natural gas supplies from Gazprom to Argentina as well as the sci-tech cooperation development.

The meeting participants expressed their interest in furthering the dialogue between the two companies.
Background

Argentina's proven natural gas and oil reserves average 300 billion cubic meters and 334.2 million tons accordingly. In 2011 Argentina produced nearly 38.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 29.9 million tons of oil and consumed 46.5 billion cubic meters and 29.7 million tons accordingly.

Argentina's national petroleum company YPF is focused on oil and natural gas exploration, transmission and marketing.
