OREANDA-NEWS. September 6, 2012. A OGX, the Brazilian oil and gas company responsible for the largest private-sector exploratory campaign in Brazil, announces that the Company’s Board of Directors has nominated Mr. Paulo de Tarso Martins Guimaraes, current Exploration Executive Manager and responsible for the Campos and Espirito Santo Basins, as Exploration Officer of OGX. Mr. Paulo Ricardo dos Santos will occupy another position at Holding of the EBX Group.

The new Exploration Director, Mr. Paulo de Tarso, has more than 30 years of experience in the oil industry, began working at OGX in 2010 as New Areas Executive Manager, and since April 2012 has been Executive Exploration Manager, responsible for the Campos and Espirito Santo Basins. Mr. Paulo de Tarso has occupied several managerial positions in Petrobras for more than 20 years, as Exploration General Manager responsible for Espririto Santo and Mucuri Basins and Exploration Executive Manager of all Brazilian Basins. He also worked as an exploration counselor in Argentina, Angola, Peru, Colombia, Cuba, USA (GoM) and Libia. Mr. Paulo de Tarso holds a degree in Geology from UFPR and is a doctor in Geology graduated from the University of Texas, in Austin.
