OREANDA-NEWS. September 6, 2012. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers decreased 0.6% on the year in January-July 2012 to 3.807 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told reporters.

The output of potash fertilizers decreased 1.9% on the year in January-July to 3.184 million tonnes, of nitrogen fertilizers went up 4.6% to 496,500 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went up 15.1% to 126,300 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production grew 5.1% to 135,800 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 50% on the year in January-July 2012 to 54.281 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms (USD 6.516 billion at the NBB rate).

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 31.3% of the average monthly output, or 1.66 trillion rubles (USD 199 million).
