OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2012. We may be living in a digital age of software applications, but the worldwide demand for printers continues to drive Brother Industries (Brother), a global leader in communications and printing equipment, reported the press-centre of AT&T.

With this in mind, Brother has selected AT&T* as its global supplier of advanced communications services and applications. AT&T is providing a global network solution through which Brother’s worldwide operations can both operate more efficiently today, while allowing the company to execute its global plans to expand across Asia.

Brother’s global communication expansion plans were carried out in two stages. In the first phase, AT&T connected 42 Brother sites in North America and Europe to its global Virtual Private Network (VPN); in the second, AT&T extended this connectivity to six sites in the Asia-Pacific region.

Brother chose AT&T because it needed a single provider that could deliver a complete communications infrastructure solution to support its extensive global operations, while offering scalability to accommodate plans to expand sales in Asia and the rest of the world.  The ability to handle large volumes of data both very fast and very frequently was also critical. AT&T was the natural choice not just because of its ability to deliver a global solution, but because Brother was already familiar with its quality of service. AT&T previously helped Brother to manage its networking communications in the US to support critical business applications.

Benefits of AT&T’s VPN services include:

Standardizing the functions, specifications and operation of its network infrastructure;

Simplifying complex operational and management processes to swiftly implement IT strategies in response to changes in the business environment;

Easier routing across the network to improve performance;

Reducing costs through the elimination of separate inter-region networks;
