OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2012. The European Commission and Ukraine will be sharing customs information. This was reported by Serhiy Syomka, Director of Department of customs control and clearance of the State Customs Service during a round table meeting.

This agreement will provide an opportunity to get information on the real value of goods imported into Ukraine.

"So we eliminate some hiding schemes by international trade operators regarding real amounts of contracts, that is, there will be eliminate a shadow from these processes," said Serhiy Syomka.

He informed that a working group of the State Customs Service, together with the European Commission representatives is drafting an agreement on sharing customs information. It's scheduled to submit it to public discussion at the beginning of next year.
