OREANDA-NEWS.  September 07, 2012. At the present time 236 projects with the total commitment of 1 bln. 348 mln. euros are being realized in Moldova from funds of international lender and donors. This was stated by Premier of Moldova Vladimir Filat, who noted that these funds had been attracted by Cabinet Ministers for the last three years on beneficial terms. Nearly half of the money was granted, whereas another 50% were extended as lax concession credits.

The Premier stressed that the bulk of the external funds had been assigned for agricultural projects. According to him, As of August, 2012 a total value of projects implemented in agriculture makes 341.5 mln. euros.

Projects are being implemented in the transport and road facilities area at a sum of 180,3 mln. euros, in the water supply area at a sum of 114.3 mln. euros; in the social facilities development (schools, kindergartens, hospitals) at 196 mln. euros; in energy sector at 105 mln. euros; in the private sector at 50 mln. euros, in the education at 18 mln. euros.

The major donors of Moldova embrace the European Union (337 mln. euros), the USA 271 mln. euros), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (225 mln. euros), the World Bank (187 mln. euros), Romania (100 mln. euros), the European Investment Bank (92 mln. euros).
