According to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communication and Information Technologies, the sales return of Moldtelecom, national operator of fixed telephony, made up 754.4 mln. leis in January-June, 2012, 6% or 48.4 mln. leis down as compared with the same period of the last year. At the same time, the total sales return of 23 alternative operators grew 68.7% to 20.7 mln. leis.

The average revenue per user (ARPU) made up 111.7 leis at Moldtelecom, 6.2% down, whereas ARPU of alternative operators increased 17.4% to 58.6 leis. The total average ARPU in the sector of the fixed telephony declined 6.5% to 109.1 leis.

As a result of these changes, a share market of Moldtelecom in incomes decreased 0.7 p.p. to 97.1%, whereas a share of alternative operators grew 0.7 p.p. to 2.9%. ANRCETI experts explain the slight growth in indicators displayed by alternative operators by a growth in functional operators from 18 to 23 and by an increase of their subscriber base because of connection of subscribers to triple play services, which include Internet, TV and fixed telephony.
