OREANDA-NEWS. September 7, 2012. Three winners of ‘World in Children’s Eyes’, II Annual Child Photo Competition of Equal Abilities, in the nominee “Sport” went to the Paralympic Games. MegaFon, being a partner of the project, awarded the young photographers with tickets to London.

Winners of the contest will visit London between August 28 and September 3 and will see the Opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games and competition with participation of Russian athletes. In their own time they will take a walk about London and see the most famous places of interest and add to their photo albums pictures from the banks of the river Thames. Children will have a wide range and exciting sightseeing tour and tons of emotions from attending sport events.

Photo competition “World in Children’s Eyes” was organized by a charity project ‘FotoCh child & charity’. More than 450 children from Russian and neighbouring countries and beyond took part in it. Not only students were among contestants, but also physically-challenged children, orphans and those who found themselves in unprivileged life situations. The judges were the most impartial – they chose the winner without having any information about the contestants. MegaFon, being a partner of “Sports” nominee, awarded winners with a trip to the capital of the Olympics.

‘It’s not by chance that we support Sports nominee at the photo competition where orphans and physically-challenged children take part. Aim of this competition, and this nominee in particular, is to attract children’s attention to healthy lifestyle and to form respect to physically-challenged people, and these are precisely those areas where our company pays the most attention to’, Elena Aleksandrova, head of Corporate Communications Department, comments. ‘Winners of the competition can see and show others the beauty and strength of sport. There is no doubt that their visit to London, to Paralympic Games, will become the best present and we will wait for their photo reports from the competitions and post them with pleasure in social networks on our pages’.
