The vessel will be transporting liquefied gas produced on the first in Russia LNG plant to Japan, South Korea, Thailand, China and Taiwan.

“Ob River” LNG tanker is managed by the group of Gazprom Marketing and Trading (subsidiary of Gazprom).

GM&T and Sakhalin Energy noted high level of professionalism of the crew and effective management system controlled by technical operator Dynagaz (Greece).

As a reminder, the fleet which is currently employed by Sakhalin Energy for transportation of LNG, consists of five LNG tankers. Also LNG is transported by LNG tankers managed by LNG buyers. Apart from Asia Pacific, in 2009-2010 Sakhalin Energy supplied LNG to India and Kuwait.
