OREANDA-NEWS.  September 17, 2012. Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical plans to process 870,000 tonnes of crude in September, with daily throughput flat with August, a company source said.

The company will shut an 8m tonne/year crude distillation unit on 8 October for 25 days of turnaround, according to the source.

It will also shut a fluid catalytic cracker, two delayed cokers and 14 other secondary processing units for maintenance at the same time, the source said.

The capacity of one of the two delayed cokers will be expanded from the present 1.4m tonnes/year to 1.7m tonnes/year with maintenance at the unit complete in 40 days, the source also said.

Located at Zibo city in Shandong province, Qilu Petrochemical has a crude processing capacity of 14m tonnes/year. It mainly refines sour crude from Shengli oilfield and the Middle East.
