OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2012. In November-December, 2012 the Ministry of Economy of Moldova to announce an international tender to select a builder of the main return pipeline Iasi –Ungheni. This was announced by Vice-premier, Minister of Economy of Moldova, Co-chairman of the Moldovan-Romanian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and European Integration Valeriu Lazar at a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Titus Corlatean.

According to him, the technical design of the construction has been completed and is being appraised now. Titus Corlatean said one of the purposes of his visit to Chisinau constitutes in speeding up implementation of the projects arranged on earlier by Premiers of Moldova and Romania, Vladimir Filat and Victor Ponta.

He assured that the construction of the main pipeline Iasi-Ungheni would be given the special attention to. During the meeting Valeriu Lazar and Titus Corlatean discussed matters of construction of several high-voltage lines which would enable Moldova to join the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO_E).
