The deregulation processes in the construction industry, which are being realized under the new law "On regulation of urban development," gave significant effect regarding the legalization of civil works. This was stressed by Olexandr Rybak, the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate Head at the Government House.

"For 8.5 months of this year, over 60,000 sites started building legally. In this case, from the total number of sites, 98% are built by self-certification. The share of facilities of 05-04 grade of difficulty, for which construction, permits need to receive, accounted for only 2%," said Olexandr Rybak.

The Chairman of the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate also said that since the implementation of reforms in construction permitting system, inspections annually issued permits for construction works: 2008 year – 39,714, 2009 – 39,323, 2010 – 38,574, 2011 - 47,963.
