OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2012. Ukraine needs a significant upgrade of the railway passenger rolling stock. That was announced to journalists by Borys Kolesnikov, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Infrastructure in Berlin, where he visited the exhibition "InnoTrans 2012".

"Already now, Ukraine needs 100-120 distant trains and 300-350 electric trains. We received the latest trains prior to the Olympic Games in Moscow, so they are outdated and it is need to buy new ones," said Borys Kolesnikov.

According to him, such quantity of distant trains for Ukrainian wagon producers is an investment portfolio for 10-12 years.
