OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2012. i-Free will be sponsoring this year’s MobileFest, a popular annual forum for mobile application developers and mobile Internet professionals. The forum will take place at Raivola Hotel outside St. Petersburg on 24 and 25 September.

This is not the first time i-Free is lending support to Mobilefest, which brings together the best and brightest of the mobile app industry from all parts of Russia and the CIS: developers, designers, project managers, marketers, producers and publishers.

“Many applications developed in Russia have met with international success, and are now international best-sellers, which naturally promises great opportunities for their creators,” said Kirill Petrov, Managing Director of i-Free Innovations, commenting on i-Free’s sponsorship of MobileFest.   “MobileFest will be attended by the best teams from among those whose projects have received international acclaim, as well as complete beginners. Market leaders and start-ups will meet at the forum to share their expertise and new ideas. This can only be good for the mobile app industry.”

The forum’s participants will discuss many different issues of immediate relevance: technology, usability, project administration, marketing strategy, app commercialization, and others. They will also learn about how the most successful projects came about, which have topped the international app charts.

MobileFest will be held in two spaces this year. The first one will be reserved for presentations and discussions on technology, cross-platform solutions for games, mobile security, usability, mobile app testing and project administration. Presentations will be made on behalf of Microsoft, Intel, Samsung, DataArt, InfoShell, Paragon Software, Rus Wizards, Touch Instinct, Trinetix, UIDesign Group, UsabilityLab, Kaspersky Lab, Ministry of Applications and Kechinov’s Studio.

In the second space, the participants will discuss game production and app commercialization and marketing. Featured presenters will include representatives of Game Insight, Articul Media, Droider.ru, e-Legion, Hint Solutions, i-Free, Look At Me, MBT and Nevosoft. The digital agencies Red Keds, Dalee and Heads&Hands will present case studies of game development for major brands.

The festival will feature a “Battle of Ideas”: the owners of the three best mobile app ideas will be awarded BlackBerry10 prototypes. RIM will award its own prizes to the winners of the “VK Messenger Mobile App” competition, hosted by BlackBerry in partnership with the social utility VKontakte.

The business part of the forum will be followed by a party, sponsored by i-Free. The i-Free Party will provide a friendly, informal ambience for MobileFest participants to relax and have a good time.
