OREANDA-NEWS.  September 24, 2012. The Non-Commercial Partnership Union of Industries of Railway Equipment (OPZHT) and the German Railway Industry Association (VDB) signed a cooperation agreement at the international conference Railway Engineering: 1520 and 1435 Partnership in Berlin, reported the press-centre of RZD.

Valentin Gapanovich, Senior Vice President of Russian Railways, and Ansgar Brockkmeyer, VDB Vice President, signed the agreement, which provides for cooperation between companies in Germany’s railway industry and Russian transport engineering firms which are members of the OPZHT.

The agreement will facilitate informational and organisational cooperation between the signatories regarding the establishment and development of mutually beneficial partnership links between the Germany rail industry and transport engineering companies which belong to NP OPZHT.

This includes, in particular, the exchange of views on the current state of national markets and assistance in obtaining information on national technical standards and legislation, as well as assistance in establishing contacts between potential partners for cooperation, including in science and technology and especially in high technology.
