OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2012. First 9 kilometers of optic fiber and copper-wire cables have been laid and 220 railway lighting poles were installed at the construction site of the Baltic NPP within the frameworks of works carried to make communication and signaling systems and supervised by electricians from area No.3 of OJSC Sosnovoborelektromontazh.

All in all the electricians are to lay about 15 kilometers of cable and 320 lighting poles along the railroad bed. In the course of the further on work, the assembly of railway overhead wiring and railway substation aimed to transform and distribute the power from the grid system will be performed, as well as that of 10kV-power transmission line and its poles.

The total cost of the work related to power supply arrangement for the railway spur "Neman – Baltic NPP construction site" is about 80 million rubles. This branch will serve for delivery of all construction materials and equipment for the nuclear power station. The total length of railway tracks will be over 12 kilometers.

The railway superstructure and substructure will be constructed by the specialists from another Holding's subsidiary – OJSC UAT .
