OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2012. By the beginning of the autumn and winter period, the specialists of JSC Irkutskenergo have repaired three hydroelectric units, 16 turbine units and 32 boiler units. Besides, 23 kilometers of heating networks have been replaced. The main and auxiliary equipment is repaired according to approved schedules.

This year, RUB 3,061.6 million have been allocated for the investment program for reconstruction and re-equipment of the Company’s facilities. The upgrading program accounted for RUB 726 million. By the beginning of the heating season, 2.9 million tons of coal have been stored up at JSC Irkutskenergo’s TPPs. Meanwhile, as of September 1, 2012, the region’s arrears for heating have totaled RUB 1.116 billion (including utility companies, state-financed institutions and resellers).

Currently, the Company is preparing for an inspection to be conducted by representatives of the EMERCOM of Russia, the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) and Sibirenergotekhnadzor Territorial Center – Regional Enterprise. Based on the results of the inspection, certificates of readiness for the autumn and winter period will be issued in October.

Evgeny Fedorov, CEO of JSC Irkutskenergo, commented, "As we need to compensate for lack of water at the Yenisei cascade in the autumn and winter of 2011-2012, a maximum load at CHPPs is expected this year. Therefore, in 2012, we have carried out extensive maintenance and repair works at TPPs".
