OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2012. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 2.5% on the year in January-August 2012 to 304.6 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 36.2 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told.

Industrial output in January-August 2012 increased 8.1% on the year to Br421.2 trillion (Br8,420/USD 1).

Farm output rose 7.1% to Br62.8 trillion.

In 2011, Belarus’ GDP grew 5.3% on the year to 274.3 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 337 trillion rubles, up 9.1% on the year. Farm output increased 6.6% to 56.7 trillion rubles.
