OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2012. Russian daily newspaper Kommersant and the Russian Association of Managers have published their annual Top 1000 of Russian Managers rankings with many of the UTair Aviation top management personnel holding leading positions on the list for managers in the transport industry.

UTair CEO Andrey Martirosov took the leading position among the top-5 CEOs, Andrey Ilmenskiy took third place among Executive Directors, and Igor Petrov has been acknowledged as one of the best CFOs. Vladislav Kravchenko, Vitaliy Pozdnyakov and Jeanna Tscherbich were among the ranks of the top ten of Chief Commercial Officers, IT-Directors and HR Directors.

The concept for the ratings is based on a 'best selecting the best' principle - top-managers are evaluated and nominated to the rankings by other top-managers, operational managers are rank operational managers and so on.

“We are pleased to know that the UTair management team has won recognition among their colleagues in industry and professional peers,” said UTair Aviation CEO Andrey Martirosov in response to the rankings. “This acknowledgement is a high appraisal of our professionalism in the implementation of our growth strategy, commitment to service quality and improvement and flight safety.”

UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2011 UTair aircraft transported 6,750,425 passengers. In January-June 2012 UTair Group serviced 40.9% more passengers than for the same period of 2011. In 2012 the airline expects an increase in transport volumes up to 10 million passengers. The airline operates more than 200 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs 100 flights daily.
