OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2012. On September 1st, 2012 a new record in the Ukrainian banking was set up - 2.5 million people used PrivatBank services for one day. As the Bank press-service reported, the previous record was set up in May - then PrivatBank served more than 2 million customers per one day. The Bank serves on average 2 million 160 thousand customers per day in September, while in August it served 1 million and 920 thousand.

“The Bank has thoroughly prepared for the end of the holiday season - in summer we opened more than 20 new outlets and set up more than 500 new ATMs and self-service terminals,” said Yuriy Kandaurov, the Deputy Chairman of PrivatBank. “Moreover, customers actively use the tools of remote banking, making payments using free telephone number 3700, via SMS-banking or Privat24 Internet banking.”

Among the customers who use PrivatBank services, over 60% are served in the bank outlets, 32% use ATMs and self-service terminals and about 10% make transactions via Privat24 Internet banking. The share of payments for goods and services by plastic cards in the sales network is a little bit more than 8% of the customers’ operations.

According to the study of banking services for individuals, conducted by GFK Ukraine in 2nd quarter of 2012, 44.3% of Ukrainians using banking services are the PrivatBank customers. At the same time, every third client (34.4%) considers PrivatBank as his/her main bank. Over the past six months, according to the survey of GFK Ukraine, PrivatBank`s customer base increased by 6.9% - it is the highest rate in the Ukrainian banking.
