Mazda's total domestic production volume in August 2012 decreased 2.9% compared to August 2011 due to decreased production of passenger vehicles.

2. Overseas Production

Mazda's overseas production volume in August 2012 increased 27.4% compared to August 2011, reflecting increased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda's total domestic sales volume in August 2012 increased 6.4% compared to August 2011, due to increased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.5% (down 0.1 points year-on-year), with a 2.8% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 4.5% total market share (down 0.2 points year-on-year).

III. Exports

Mazda's export volume in August 2012 decreased 23.9% year-on-year, reflecting decreased shipments to North America, Europe and others.
