OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2012. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was presented the project for the construction of the modern cement plant in Spasskoe Village of Blagodarnenskiy District of the Stavropol region with in the framework of the XI International Investment Forum “Sochi-2012”. This plant’s capacity is planned to be 1.3 million tons of cement per year. The project will cost 15 billion rubles.

The priority of the project for the construction of the modern cement plant in Spasskoe Village of Blagodarnenskiy District of the Stavropol region is security, environmental protection and protection of health of workers and citizens of neighboring areas. The plant will be equipped with the innovative technology of dry cement production. Also there will be energy saving technologies introduced to the plant. All the parameters of construction and operation of the plant meet the highest international environmental standards. The plant will employ up to 400 people and will create up to 1,000 new jobs, thus increasing tax revenues to the budgets of different levels.

“There are many plants involved in production of almost all materials needed for the construction industry in the Stavropol region, with the exception of the cement ones. Here in the forum a draft of the construction of the first cement plant in the Stavropol region has been presented. This plant will completely satisfy the needs of our region in terms of cement. Construction industry in the Stavropol region will be able to build bigger, better, and cheaper. It is very important to meet the challenges of the construction industry in the Stavropol region, increasing the availability of high-quality housing for Stavropol residents. Now the Stavropol region is working on preparations of an application for investments in the construction works and commissioning of the infrastructure of the project, and then the main phase of construction begins”, - said Governor of the Stavropol region Valery Zerenkov who submitted the project for the cement plant construction to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

Construction of the new innovative cement plant will facilitate the development of infrastructure of the Stavropol region, promote the development of a wide range of industrial sectors, and increase its attractiveness.
