OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2012. About 30 venture capitalists from Hong Kong, China and Republic of Korea will participate in the Global Innovation Partnerships Forum in Moscow on the 2–4 October, 2012. The Forum will be focused on investments to Russian high-teсh projects with global potential. Asian delegates will meet representatives of Russian authorities, business, entrepreneurs and investors.

The Forum is organized by Russian development institutions — RUSNANO, RVC and The Skolkovo Foundation.

The Asian delegation to Russia will include heads of venture capital funds and private equity funds with more USD 60 billion under management. The top management of Asian Associations of Investors will also visit the Forum. Members of the Associations manage funds totaling more than USD 800 billion.

The Forum will be visited by such funds as CITIC Capital Holding; SAIF Partners; CDH Investments; Northern Light Venture Capital; Shenzhen Capital Group Co., Ltd; Sequoia Capital China; China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association; STIC Investments, and Korean Venture Capital Association.

GIP Forum will be held in Russia for the third time. The first Forum was organized for US venture capitalists and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs headed by California ex-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the second one — for European partners. As the result of these meetings new high-tech investment projects have emerged with total budget over USD 1 billion.

The Russian Federation and Moscow officials, the Russian Venture Capital Association (RVCA) as well as leaders of Russian technology business will also take part in Global Innovation Partnerships Forum-2012.
