OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2012. The State Mortgage Institution is ready to start-up a new program "Hire-purchase" this was started by chairman of the State Mortgage Institution Valentyn Rybachuk communicating with journalists at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to him, the program has been developed, agreed by all relevant ministries and is currently being on approval in the Ministry of Finance.

Valentyn Rybachuk noted that participate in the program will be able people who are being on the housing register and need better housing.

He also said that for the implementation of this program the State Mortgage Institution is going to buy ready-made housing in new buildings.

It is planned that the monthly rent will be at the rate of 3% per annum of the purchase price with the option to purchase up to 15 years.

At the same time there are some limitations:

- the cost of housing, which, for example, for Kyiv 7.5 thousand UAH/square meter, for the Regional centers - 5.5 thousand UAH/square meter, in the cities of Regional importance - 4.3 thousand UAH/square meter.

- By area - for a family of two people - 40 square meters, three people - 58 square meters, of four or more people - 76 m?.

"We’ve analyzed the situation and according to our preliminary estimates for the hire-purchase in Kyiv will pay 2600 UAH and in the small towns 1000 UAH", - said the Chairman of the State Mortgage Institution, noting that this program can be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in the near future.

Valentyn Rybachuk concluded that the current program of the State Mortgage Institution and a mechanism that is pending approval are implemented on the social initiatives of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych relatively affordable housing of Ukrainian citizens.
