OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2012. BERIS Engineering & Research Corp. (BERIS) announced that, the Nickel/Nickel-alloy Plate Belt Production Line (5000t/a) developed for Jinchuan Group of Gansu Province was awarded with the First Engineering Design Prize of National Metallurgy Industry on September 20, 2012. With regard to this facility, the overall technical process was independently developed by BERIS, part of the core devices were designed and all the assembly work were undertaken by BERIS. As China’s most advanced professional nickel/nickel-alloy plate belt production line with the largest annual output capacity, this line was completed and put into commissioning in December 2011, reported the press-centre of MCC. 

Through independent endeavors, BERIS has successfully worked out the technical process for the modern nickel/nickel-alloy plate belt production line, which is featured by large billet weight and output, a wide range of sizes and high precision of products. The successful application of this design has enabled the production line (5000t/a) of Jinchuan Group to be one of the most advanced ones in China. The final products of this line include nickel/nickel-alloy plate belt and some materials for forging bars. The alloy products mainly cover pure nickel, magnetically soft alloy, expansion alloy, resistance/electric heating alloy, corrosion resistant alloy and high-temperature alloy.

Thanks to the successful design and smooth commissioning of this facility, Jinchuan Group has achieved an essential breakthrough because in the past time it could only offer the nickel base materials but not the high value-added nickel-alloy plate belt products. Along with the maturing of the technical process and equipment operation practice, now the line is capable for production of some imported nickel-alloy plate belt products, and will thus give a further promotion to the deep nickel processing business of Jinchuan Group.

Moreover the successful implantation of this project symbolizes that, BERIS has reached the international advanced level in terms of melting, forging and processing of nickel and nickel-base alloy, as well as the equipment design in this field.
