OREANDA-NEWS. October 2, 2012. Belarusian companies’ deposits with domestic banks were at 26.468 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of September 1, 2012, up 4.5% on month in August 2012, an official with the National Bank of Belarus (NBB)’s information department told. This totals USD 3.16 billion at the official rate of the central bank.

Belarusian companies’ ruble deposits grew 28.5% in January-August 2012.

Companies’ foreign currency deposits increased 9.9% in August 2012 up to USD 4.229 billion as of September 1, 2012. In January-August FX deposits increased 23.5%.

In 2011, Belarusian companies’ ruble-denominated deposits rose 90% on the year to 20.6 trillion rubles, while foreign currency deposits rose 14.4% to USD 3.423 billion.
