OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2012. According to the results of 6 months of the year 2012, the amount of voluntary health insurance premiums has made 4.4 bn rubles (excluding incoming reinsurance and travel insurance), which is 33% more than for the same period of 2011. In the aggregate, 648 thousand persons have got VHI insurance in Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, which is 41% more than in the first half of the year 2011.

According to the results of the first half of 2012, the VHI market share of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company made 6.7%, which is 1.2 points higher than the similar indicator of the same period of 2011. The company takes the second place in VHI market (the first among market companies).

Major part of VHI portfolio is taken as earlier by corporative clients. In the first half of 2012, 95.7% of the total volume of receipts was obtained under legal entity agreements, which is at the same level with the first half of the year 2011. Besides, the overall number of agreements with legal entities has grown by 21% and reached 6.3 thousand. The total volume of insurance premiums from individuals has grown by 0.2% and the number of insurance agreements concluded – by 1.1 thousand (1% growth).

During the first half of 2012, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company concluded some 56 thousand VHI agreements. The biggest clients who have concluded and renewed VHI agreements with Ingosstrakh Insurance Company are Procter & Gamble Distribution Company Ltd., Procter & Gamble Novomoskovsk Ltd., AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals Ltd..

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company went on working the development of its own medical center network. In May, a new "Bud Zdorov" clinic was opened in Moscow, which is the third one already, and the first family clinic. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has launched a new voluntary health insurance supported by the opened clinic "Blizkiye Lyudi" (Relatives) – a policy for the whole family. In addition to that, 9 "Bud Zdorov" medical centers are active throughout the country. It is planned to open Ingosstrakh Insurance Company clinics in Krasnoyarsk, Rostov-on-Don, Irkutsk, and Nizhny Novgorod in the nearest future.

"The development of one's own network of medical centers is rather expensive. In particular, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has already invested 2 bn rubles in the project. Moreover, the implementation of the project is overlong and has suspended payback time, Tatyana Kaigorodova, Deputy Director General of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company says. - However, we have an intention to reach estimated rates and create a network of 24 clinics within several years to come."
