OREANDA-NEWS. October 05, 2012. The Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Igor Artemyev had a working meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the “Federal Grid Company of United Energy System” OJSC, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Moscow United Electric Grid Company” OJSC (“MOESK” OJSC), Oleg Budargin; and the Head of “MOESK” OJSC, Pyotr Sinyutin, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The parties reached arrangements on organizing a working group that would comprise representatives of FAS Russia, the “Federal Grid Company of United Energy System” OJSC and “MRSK-Holding” OJSC. The parties outlined the Working Group’s agenda, particularly, discussing the pressing problems of law changing, the pilot projects of “MOESK” OJSC for improving the quality of customer services as well as establishing law enforcement practice.

Pyotr Sinyutin reported about technological connections of consumers to the electric networks of “MOESK” OJSC. “The company’s efforts are aimed, first of all, at enhancing transparency of the procedure for connecting new customers to electric networks, improving the quality of services as well as complying with the regulatory time-frame for work execution. This will create comfortable conditions for all categories of the customers of “MOESK” OJSC”, pointed out Pyotr Sinyutin.

The Head of FAS Igor Artemyev emphasized recent positive changes in “MOESK” OJSC and considerable reduction of the number of complaints from customers. However, he stated that the company would have to undertake a lot of efforts in this area.

Igor Artemyev expressed hope for developing cooperation between FAS and “MOESK” OJSC and further reduction of the number of violations committed by electric grid companies. Also according to Mr. Artemyev, FAS is prepared to more robustly apply a new institute of warnings as a preventive measure employed before initiating antimonopoly cases.

Currently the functions of a single executive board (the General Director) of “MRSK-Holding” OJSC (to which “MOESK” OJSC is a subsidiary) are transferred to the “Federal Grid Company of United Energy System” OJSC.
