OREANDA-NEWS. October 08, 2012. The National Commission on Securities and Stock Market has developed regulations that will resolve prudential supervision in the stock market under traders, asset management companies’ institutional investors and professional traders engaged in depository activities. The relevant documents were approved at the planning meeting, the regulator.

"The introduction of prudential supervision on the stock market - is an important step in creating an efficient and liquid stock market in Ukraine. We walked a long way in the development of these provisions and conducted extensive work in this area. The relevant provisions are designed together with the participants of the market, according to their wishes and recommendations. In view of the work we have created a new legal framework", said Konstantyn Kryvenko member of the National Commission on Securities and Stock Market who is responsible for this area of work.

It is planned that the adopted document will establish the procedure for the prudential supervision of these market participants, identify key operational risks, as well as indicators that will be used to measure them. Furthermore, the provisions provide for the establishment of standards that will be applied to determine the degree of risk.

In the near future provisions will be sent for approval to the relevant ministries and agencies and will be published on the official website of the regulator.
