OREANDA-NEWS. October 9, 2012. Belarus’ internal debt increased 5.8% on the month in August 2012 to 38.545 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 4.5 billion) as of September 1, 2012 by the International Monetary Fund’s Special Data Dissemination Standards, an official with Belarus’ Finance Ministry told.

Belarus’ internal debt expanded by 17.7% in January-August 2012. Adjusted for inflation, the debt grew by 2.7% since January 1, 2012.

Of the total internal state debt, the long-term debt of the government accounts for 46.5%, short-term debt for 0% and the debt secured by the government for 53.5%.
