OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2012. An Extraordinary General Meeting (“Syezd”) of the Russian Nationwide Civic Organization “Delovaya Russia” was conducted. The meeting’s key purpose was to discuss the Organization’s structure and personal appointments to its managing boards. Following the decisions of the meeting, Boris Titov, the Organization’s Chairman, released his duties. The positions of Chairman and President were eliminated, and Co-Chairmen of “Delovaya Russia” were elected.

The following candidates were elected Co-Chairmen of the Nationwide Civic Organization:

o Sergey Generalov – The Organization’s operations,

o Alexander Galushka – Public affairs, government relations and external positioning,

o Anton Danilov-Danilyan – Industrial politics,

o Nikolay Levitsky – Regional development and cooperation with regional authorities.

Alexey Repik highlighted the fact that “Delovaya Russia” is currently less internationally visible than RSPP (Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) and TPP (Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry). He believes that “Delovaya Russia” must become a launch pad for Russian companies expanding abroad and a trustee for foreign investors interested in Russia. “It’s impossible to expand manufacturing up to 50% and create millions of jobs without international cooperation. We must study how to work in global environment,” said Alexey Repik.

Also the delegates appointed Ilya Semin, Vice-President of “Delovaya Russia”, to the position of Head of the Organization’s Executive Committee. Earlier, he held a position of Regional Development Director.

The delegates of the General Meeting approved creation of Founders Council of “Delovaya Russia”. This body, consisted of the Organizations’ veterans, will serve as a sort of ethical arbitrage. Boris Titov was appointed Chairman of the Founders Council. Final list of Founders Council’s members to be approved by the General Council of “Delovaya Russia”.
