OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2012. Three employees of TITAN-2 Holding visited the construction site of Novovoronezh NPP-2 and participated in the opening ceremony of a new Training Centre which will train the specialists demanded for the construction of nuclear industry facilities.

Availability of such a centre in Novovoronezh will allow local labour resources to be more actively involved, which is also an essential pre-requisite for overcoming the deficiency of construction personnel. The centre facilities will allow training up to 2 thousand professional workers a year. The centre will teach its trainees all types of welding and assembly works, and also train the specialists in assembly of complicated reinforcement cages, custom forming systems, and non-destructive testing.

The centre has became the first educational institution aimed at training qualified specialists for Rosatom construction block. The total number of such profile educational institutions to be opened all over the country is five.

HR Director of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 Tatiana Nikolaeva says, "Today it is very important to share experience while training the personnel for construction sites. The number of qualified specialists and workers necessary to erect nuclear plants is increasing. We use our own base to train electric welders of manual welding, assemblers, flame-cutting torch operators, sling fasteners, but putting a new training centre in Sosnovyi Bor into operation would facilitate broadening the range of education programs. I am sure that every contractor busy with construction of replacement facilities is directly interested in training well-qualified workers for the construction site of Leningrad NPP, because that will ensure the high rate of progress and quality of construction."
