OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2012. A cross-regional program aimed at training young professionals, “Okrylennye Uspekhom” (Inspired by the success) covers 16 regions where the “Eurocement Group” Holding plants are located: Belgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Lipetsk, Bryansk, Ryazan, Sverdlovsk, Leningrad, Voronezh, Arkhangelsk, Ulyanovsk region, and Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. It will be held annually within the framework of scientific and technical conferences to exchange experience and mentoring practices, as well as gatherings, training sessions and seminars for young employees of the “Eurocement Group” Holding will be organized annually. The program will be implemented at the regional and interregional levels.

“With the launch of the interregional program aimed at training young professionals, we plan not only to solve the issue of professional development training, but also to teach employees to come up with and offer rationalization and innovative projects. The best of them will be regularly tabled in the Scientific and Technical Council of the Holding. In essence, we seek to develop equally both the mentoring practices and ongoing professional development of staff withinthe “Eurocement Group” Holding, and the use of domestic innovation and technological innovation capacity. I believe it is the only way to maintain a high economic efficiency in the long term perspective”, - said President of the “Eurocement Group” Holding Mikhail Skorokhod.

The first event of the program, which will be Science and Technology Conference, to be held from 17 to 18 October in Lipetsk, will be attended by more than 100 young professionals from all plants included in the Holding. They will present scientific research works on five areas – from management and logistics to the use of energy-saving technologies in cement production. In addition, business simulation “Berezhlivoe porizvodstvo” (Thrifty production) within the frameworks of which young professionals would be able to discuss ways to optimize production processes, to master the analysis of the kinds of losses which occur during the production processes and how to work with them, get a deeper understanding of the process of search for sources to save resources and work more efficiently with the production will be organized for participants.

“During three years, we have been creating different elements of work with young professionals. We have been identifying the most effective tools and algorithms in terms of training involving young professionals in the corporate culture. In particular, the first corporate gathering, where young professionals could exchange ideas, was held in 2011 in Bryansk. The most effective tools were integrated into the program of work with young professionals, which will be permanently implemented by the “Eurocement Group” Holding in all regions where the holding plants are located” – said the Director of the Personnel Department of the “Eurocement Group” Holding Sergey Shcherbakov.
