OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2012.  SCF Group announces it has won the Exxon Neftegas Limited (ENL) “Contractor of the Year- 2012” award for its workforce protection and safety.

The official award ceremony took place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk at the annual Safety Forum, organised by Exxon Neftegas Limited, operator of the Sakhalin-1 project.

The award was made to SCF Unicom - a subsidiary company of SCF Group based in Sakhalin - for the safety and quality of its work undertaken as part of the Sakhalin-1 project.
ENL’s representative, Jason Brown, expressed his appreciation to the staff of the company and praised the exemplary operation of the icebreaking supply vessel SCF Sakhalin, its highly professional crew and the supporting shore personnel.

Several Sovocmflot vessels operate as part of the Sakhalin-1 project: four Aframax shuttle tankers (Yuri Senkevich, Captain Kostichev, Viktor Konetsky and Viktor Titov) and the icebreaking supply vessel SCF Sakhalin.
Another two modern ice-class supply vessels, which will service the Arktun Dagi field as part of the Sakhalin-1 project, are currently in the final stages of construction.

In the summer of 2012, the Group successfully transported and installed the lower base of the Berkut production platform at the Arkutun Dagi field. This project was the first large-scale engineering operation in the sphere of offshore field servicing.

We are delighted to win such a prestigious award. I should also like to thank the whole contracting team working on this technically challenging project, as well as all the other staff involved with it, with whom our work would not have achieved such a high level of recognition. This award further demonstrates the professionalism of SCF Group, in the area of safe navigation in harsh climatic conditions, and underlines our motto of “Safety Comes First!”
