OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2012. Maurice Tulloch, president and chief executive officer of Aviva Canada, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin-Eric Tremblay as the organization’s senior vice president for Quebec and Atlantic Canada effective November 1. Martin-Eric will report to Greg Somerville, executive vice president, Broker Distribution for Aviva Canada.
 
Martin-Eric succeeds Patricia St-Jean who has been in the role for the past seven years. Patricia will work closely with Martin to ensure a smooth transition before returning to Toronto. She will also continue to be active in her current industry leadership roles, fulfilling all existing mandates and commitments.
 
A 30-year veteran of the insurance industry, Martin-Eric’s experience includes management and executive roles in marketing, underwriting, operations and actuarial. Most recently, Martin-Eric was executive vice president, National P&C Products & president, Quebec Operations with the Co-operators Group Ltd. in Montreal.

In his new role, Martin-Eric will build on Aviva’s presence, maintaining its focus on being a great underwriting company, committed to the broker channel. He will lead a team providing broker support, customer service and underwriting expertise to Aviva broker partners and customers across Quebec and the Atlantic provinces. 
 
Tulloch said today, “Martin Eric has a very strong track record and reputation in the Canadian insurance industry. We’re proud to have him represent us and further demonstrate our commitment to brokers and customers in these important markets for Aviva.”
 
Martin-Eric holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Science from Laval University and is a member of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Solareh and Solareh SA and is a Chartered Director of The Directors College, McMaster University.
