OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2012. Within the framework of an investment project for the modernization of Tom-Usinskaya TPP implemented by the Siberian Generating Company group, Power Machines OJSC has manufactured and successfully tested a 120 MW steam turbine designed for the plant’s fifth power unit.

In December 2010 Power Machines and the Siberian Generating Company group concluded several contracts for the supply of steam turbines and turbogenerators for power plants operated by Kuzbassenergo JSC. The total amount of the contracts is about 4.4 billion rubles.

Power Machines will supply two steam turbines each having a capacity of 120 MW to units No. 4 and No. 5 of Tom-Usinskaya TPP, as well as two 225 MW turbines and two turbogenerators for these turbines to units No. 4 and No. 6 of Belovskaya TPP. The scope of contract obligations of the power engineering company includes supervision services during the equipment installation and commissioning works. The equipment deliveries will be completed in June 2013.

By now, in addition to the turbine for Tom-Usinskaya TPP, Power Machines have manufactured a turbogenerator for Belovskaya TPP.
The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik (main production facilities of EMAlliance JSC, which is a member of Power Machines OJSC) also takes part in the implementation of the Tom-Usinskaya TPP modernization project and it will manufacture and supply two groups of high pressure heaters complete with fast-response protection devices for turbine sets No. 4 and No. 5 of this plant. The heaters are designed to withstand 8 point earthquakes.
