OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2012. The results of one of the most original and picturesque contests "Maintenance of the aesthetic condition of the properly organized springs and water quality improvement" arranged among the Company’s divisions since 1995 have been summed up at TATNEFT. In addition to structural divisions of TATNEFT there have also been service enterprises of Tatarstan participating in the review contest, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

Having examined the materials submitted to the contest for all the claimed springs and based on the results of checking their ecological condition the working committee decided to award the 1st place to the springs developed by NGDU "Almetyevneft", the 2nd place was awarded to the springs completed by NGDU "Jalilneft", while the 3rd place was awarded to the springs of NGDU "Elkhovneft" among the first group of the Company’s structural divisions. "Tatspetstransport" Management Company was named the winner among the second group of enterprises. "Tatneft-RemServis" was named the winner in the third group, while the second place was awarded to "TMS Group" Management Company.

Structural divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates of TATNEFT, as well as service companies of Tatarstan have rehabilitated more than 500 natural water sources. Now that the ownership of springs was partially transferred to the balance of the municipalities’ administration offices there are more than 300 springs still supported by the oilmen. The water quality is monitored and subjected to laboratory analysis on a regular basis.

Targeted geotechnical activities carried out by the oilmen in the TATNEFT Company’s areas of activity contribute to the prevention of the potable water sources pollution. TATNEFT Company has developed and implemented a monitoring system for operational monitoring of both surface and ground water in the territory of the Company’s activities.

Large work is carried out to rejuvenate the small architectural forms of the earlier completed springs. The already improved springs are reconstructed providing for additional comfort to the population that uses the area around the water sources as a place for relaxation and comfortable recreation.
