OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2012. The 6th Annual Trans-Pacific Maritime Asia Conference (TPM ASIA) was convened in Shenzhen. This conference mainly focused on finding new value in the container supply chain, through stability, efficiency and innovation, reported the press-centre of COSCO.

Over 700 global consignors, representatives from shipping companies, port operators, logistics service providers, and governmental officials attended the conference. Invited by Journal of Commerce (JOC), Mr. Ma Zehua, President of COSCO Group attended the conference, and delivered the keynote speech -"Create Value with Service and Promote Win-win with Cooperation".

In his remarks, President Ma emphasized that the shipping industry is volatile in its thorny way to recovery. During this critical time, shipping companies need to transform from focusing on investment in vessel assets to meeting customers' demand, thus to improve service quality and comprehensively enhance coordination and cooperation among all links in the supply chain. At the same time, he called upon customers to repsect the value of services provided by the shipping lines in the supply chain, and advocated joint efforts in promoting an orderly, stable and healthy market.
