OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2012. Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for September 2012 and for April through September 2012 are summarized below.

I. Production   

Note: As of January 2007, overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (does not include CKD units).

1. Domestic Production
 (1) September 2012

Mazda's total domestic production volume in September 2012 decreased 20.9% compared to September 2011 due to reduced production of passenger vehicles.

Mazda's domestic production volume in the period from April through September 2012 increased 0.6% year-on-year due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

2. Overseas Production
 (1) September 2012

Mazda's overseas production volume in September 2012 decreased 13.2% year-on-year, reflecting reduced production of passenger vehicles.

Mazda's total overseas production volume in the period from April through September 2012 increased 9.2% year-on-year, due to increased production of commercial vehicles.

II. Domestic Sales   

(1) September 2012

Mazda's total domestic sales volume in September 2012 decreased 9.5% year-on-year, reflecting reduced sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles.
 Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.4% (down 0.2 points year-on-year), with a 3.0% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 4.5% total market share (down 0.3 points year-on-year).

Mazda's total domestic sales volume in the period from April through September 2012 increased 15.8% year-on-year due to increased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles.
 Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.3% (down 0.5 points year-on-year), with a 2.5% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.6 points year-on-year) and a 4.2% total market share (down 0.7 points year-on-year).

III. Exports  

(1) September 2012

Mazda's export volume in September 2012 decreased 19.5% year-on-year, reflecting decreased shipments to North America, Europe and others.
