OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2012. Opening of the filling station in Giurgiulesti is considered the most important since it is meant to provide qualitative fuel for vehicle transiting to Romania and the south of Moldova. As Rompetrol Moldova opened two new filling stations, their total number increased to 53 of which 4 are specialized in selling liquefied gas.

 The new filling stations were opened in two weeks after the office of Director General of the company had been assumed by Vladislav Rusnak. Earlier, Petromidia, the oil processing plan, the main asset of Rompetrol Group Rompetrol Moldova had joined, located in Navodari, Romania, was modernized and invested in over USD 380 mln.

As a result, the capacity of the plant grew from 3.8 to 5 mln t. a year. Companies of Rompetrol Group operate in 7 countries: Romania, Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, France and Spain and number over 1100 fuel retail points. Rompetrol Moldova was opened in 2002 and has become one of five major oil importers and sellers, creating jobs for 446 people.
