OREANDA-NEWS. October 30, 2012. The new ambassador of Belarus to Venezuela, Oleg Peferov, visited operations and administrative areas of the “Petrolera Bielovenezolana” oil company, located in southern Anzoategui state, as a form of acknowledgement of bi-national operations that are being carried out at the Orinoco Oil Belt.

Peferov visited the Orinoco Oil Belt with a committee of Belorusneft representatives, headed by director Georgy Fomin and the president of the Bielovenezolana oil company, Asdrubal Iriza.

The aim of this meeting is to consolidate the partnerships and cooperation agreements between the Republics of Belarus and Venezuela, a technological and energy exchange strategic for both nations.

Asdrubal Iriza, president of the joint venture Bielovenezolana, stressed the importance of the diplomatic visit to operational areas of the Orinoco Oil Belt, bolstering the commitment between the two sister nations that work towards the strengthening of this productive project under a socialist vision, regardless of distance.

In this regard, noted Iriza, the joint venture Bielovenezolana has 30 workers from Belarus working in the areas of finance and technical management, as part of a knowledge exchange.

Ambassador Olef Peferov congratulated the workers for all the achievements in petroleum as well as social matters; workers who are a key component in the consolidation of the revolutionary vision and the nation project led by reelected President Hugo Chavez.

During their visit, the diplomatic mission inspected the drilling rigs “Bielo 1” and “Bielo 2” which originate from the Republic of Belarus, drilling equipment which helps in the production of heavy crude in the Orinoco Oil Belt.

Peferov will also travel through the entire country to get acquainted with binational investment and cooperation projects in which the Belarus government plays a key part.
