OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2012. A delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) led by Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Russia, Andrey Tsarikovskiy, took part at the competition advocacy workshop organized by the International Competition Network (ICN) in Paris (France), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

At the ICN advocacy workshop, the FAS delegation made a report at the session “A Project of Competition Advocacy Group: Developing Competition Culture - the Main Aspects”.

As stated by Assistant to the Head of FAS Russia, Vladimir Kachalin, “competition advocacy at the international level encourages development of commercial and economic relations of the Russian Federation with other countries, and attraction of foreign investment in the Russian economy under the conditions of fair competition”.

It is impossible to achieve these goals without engaging and actively cooperating with experts of international organizations and foreign competition authorities.

Vladimir Kachalin also emphasized that in the recent years the international community had been showing a growing interest to antimonopoly regulation in Russia. “This is confirmed by an increased number of international projects implemented by FAS Russia that, in particular, help achieve the objectives of competition advocacy”, stated Mr. Kachalin.
